I am a sixth year PhD candidate in History at Vanderbilt University. I specialize in the history of early modern Europe with an emphasis on Italy, the book, and women and gender. My dissertation looks at the radicalization of the querelle des femmes or debate on women in Venice and the movement of Venetian women writers into single-author print at the end of the sixteenth century. I am a graduate fellow at the Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities for 2018-2019.
